New Lenox Adult Tennis Cancelled 6PM on 6/29/15

This is Wimbledon-like weather we're having today.  While the sun tries to poke through, Accuweather tells me that intermittent rain will begin again for the next couple hours.  The Lincoln Way Central tennis courts haven't had a chance to dry at all today.

We've already had one rain-shortened class and I hate to do that again. . . so we're cancelled for tonight.

All classes will be made up the week of July 20th.  Wimbledon began today so perhaps we can catch some highlights tonight on tv!

New Lenox Youth Tennis Cancelled today 6/29

Unfortunately this persistent rain is forcing us to cancel both the 4:30pm and 5:30pm youth tennis classes at Lincoln Way Central today.

I will reassess the 6pm Adult Class at 4:30pm & hopefully the rain will finish for the day.

All classes will be made up the week following our scheduled finish date.

JUNE SUMMER SLAM EVENT A GREAT SUCCESS!

Thank you to all our youth players that participated in the June Summer Slam Event.  Thank you to the parents and families who came to cheer on their players.  Thank you to Coach Sebastian, Coach Nina and Ryan Mitchell for their help that day.

We had 3 short courts and 4 full size courts of action this past Saturday.  The rain-out on Friday caused us to reschedule but our players were ready to go the following day!  The competition was spirited and great sportsmanship was demonstrated by all.  We celebrated by finishing up with cookies and popcorn.

SUMMER SLAM RAINED OUT TODAY, JUNE 26

Yes, it is raining AGAIN.  The radar shows the rain will continue and intensify this afternoon, so the tournament is CANCELED FOR TODAY!

Rain Date is tomorrow, SATURDAY JUNE 27TH FROM 4:30-6 PM AT LW CENTRAL

All entries automatically roll over!

Tell your friends -- we can add more players tomorrow!

SUMMER SLAM - JUNE EVENT DEADLINE APPROACHING!!

Please register by June 19 for the Junior & Adult events on June 26th. 
Juniors Play 4:30 - 6 p.m. at LW Central High School
Adults Play 6-8 p.m. at LW Central High School

Junior Info (Ages 8-14):
This format will be round robin or compass draw, with a winner being crowned each time. Age and skill-appropriate balls, court sizes and scoring will be used. Juniors will play co-ed, 10’s, 12’s, and 14’s singles. These events are for beginning level players (less than 75 USTA/ Midwest ranking points). A USTA Membership is not required. All players receive a T-shirt at their first event. Snack and prizes at each event.
