On January 12, 2016 we will resume our 10U tennis programming in Mokena.  Registrations are being taken by Mokena Park District.  Please don't hesitate too long; these classes fill fast!

LINCOLN WAY AREA COMMUNITY TENNIS ASSOCIATION  Selected for Midwest Youth Tennis & Education Foundation Fundraiser

 

We need your support!  The LWACTA has been selected for the 2015 Midwest Youth Tennis & Education Foundation’s “MY Gift to Kids Tennis” fundraising campaign, an annual initiative aimed at bringing more awareness and support to local youth tennis programs.  Now through Oct. 31, you can make a donation that will help our program raise much-needed funds that allow us to continue to use tennis to reach players of all ages and abilities in our community .

With the chance of brief showers throughout the morning, we are asking that parents stay nearby the location of the tennis courts after they drop off their players, in case we must stop classes.

SUMMER SLAM SERIES SUCCESS!!

We had a beautiful day for tennis yesterday!  The August Slam at Mokena Main Park was great fun. 

Thank you to all the families and players who came out to participate!  Thank you to Coach Conner, Coach Nina and Coach Tia for their help yesterday.  Thank you to everyone throughout the summer who supported this inaugural year of Summer Slam!

Our fourth and final Junior Summer Slam is coming up!

We will play at Mokena Main Park for our last event.  $20 registration fee guarantees tennis matches from 4:30-6 p.m., snacks and a t-shirt for first time participants.

JULY SUMMER SLAM A HIT!

A big thank you to all our youth players that participated in the July Summer Slam.  Also, a thank you to the parents and families who came to cheer on their players.  Thank you to Coach Natalie, Coach Justin and Coach Conner for their help that day.

We had 2 short courts and 3 full size courts of action this past Friday. The competition was of high quality with all matches being very close. Excellent sportsmanship was demonstrated by all.  We celebrated by finishing up with pizza.

Frankfort Youth Tennis CANCELLED for today.

Hello everyone! Well, it looks like we got rain for our rain make-up day so BOTH Frankfort Youth Tennis classes will be CANCELLED for today 7/16 .

The new rain make-up day will be on Tuesday, 7/21 classes will run at their normal scheduled times.

Frankfort Youth Tennis CANCELLED for today July 7th

Good morning! Unfortunately, the rain continues to pour and AccuWeather says it will continue to come down till about 9:00am so BOTH the 8:30am-9:30am AND the 9:30am-10:30am classes will be CANCELLED. Rain ending at 9am would not leave enough time for the courts to dry to start the 9:30 class. We will make up the classes at the end of the session.

Stay dry and catch up on the Wimbledon action!

New Lenox Adult Tennis Cancelled 6PM on 6/29/15

This is Wimbledon-like weather we're having today.  While the sun tries to poke through, Accuweather tells me that intermittent rain will begin again for the next couple hours.  The Lincoln Way Central tennis courts haven't had a chance to dry at all today.

We've already had one rain-shortened class and I hate to do that again. . . so we're cancelled for tonight.

All classes will be made up the week of July 20th.  Wimbledon began today so perhaps we can catch some highlights tonight on tv!

New Lenox Youth Tennis Cancelled today 6/29

Unfortunately this persistent rain is forcing us to cancel both the 4:30pm and 5:30pm youth tennis classes at Lincoln Way Central today.

I will reassess the 6pm Adult Class at 4:30pm & hopefully the rain will finish for the day.

All classes will be made up the week following our scheduled finish date.
